History: People often ask me how I got started
with my travels. Well, when I was younger I only traveled around
the United States and Canada, but my first real international
experience came in May 1998 when I went to Japan with
my dad. It was there that I first gained an interest and appreciation
for other cultures and I caught the "travel bug." This
drove me to do something that I never planned on, as I signed
up for a semester abroad in Hong Kong after I returned. I spent
the first half of 1999 in Hong Kong,
where I studied Chinese
culture and traveled to 11 countries throughout East Asia.
After graduating from college I made it a priority to keep
up with international travel, which is no simple task while
stuck in a 9-5 desk job.
Recent Adventures: Over the past few years
I've been able to expand travel footprint around the world,
including Turkey, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay,
China (again!), Peru, Italy,
the Vatican City, Germany, Switzerland (twice!), England, France, Iceland, Denmark, Sweden,
and Ireland. I may have gotten in
debt, but it sure was a great way to live a life!
A Change: In the summer of 2005
I got married to a fabulous
woman who just happened to be an avid traveler
herself. Talk about a match made in heaven - we
spent our honeymoon in Colombia!
Future Trips: I'm not sure what the future
travel world holds, but I have a good feeling that you'll be
seeing some very interesting country pages in the near future.
Stay tuned...
