American Red Cross clubs are school or community based clubs designed especially for students. Club 1881 just happens to be directly associated with the Red Cross instead of with a local school. This allows
high school aged students from all over the Syracuse area to come together for a great cause and to build fantastic friendships.
Club 1881 meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month. These meetings provide an opportunity for members to decide what the goals are and what kinds of activities they want to pursue during the month and throughout the year. In just the past several months, members have received certification in Babysitting and in First Aid, CPR and AED. They've participated in the Rockin' Red Cross Battle of the Bands and attended the National Youth Instute in Albany, New York, a program to foster skills in leadership, build teamwork and empower youth.
The club currently has nine active members with new recruits being added all the time.
Participation in Club 1881 will give you an opportunity to learn life-saving skills, build friendships with young people in every corner of the globe, meet leaders who are making a difference, and participate in projects that enhance your community and your world.
If you’re interested in getting involved, we are eager to work with you!
