Youth in Action: Volunteers assist with Salem Hyde Elementary School
Open House

Red Cross Club members often assist adult Red Cross volunteers and staff during community events and programs. Recently, four members from the Red Cross Club 1881 spent an evening at the Salem Hyde Elementary School Open House, where the Red Cross Youth Department was given a table to recruit for Salem Hyde's own Red Cross club. The students of Salem Hyde were excited to see older Red Cross members representing clubs, giving them reasons to either continue in the Salem Hyde Club or register as a new member. As in most cases, younger children look up to older kids and admire the the work they are performing, looking towards the future when they too are old enough to fill the same shoes.

Many hours have also been spend in the chapter office by our young adults, helping volunteers and staff carry out the Red Cross mission.

Thanks, Club 1881, for all your hard work!
