Red Cross Youth sponsor 10th Mountain Division Petroleum Platoon
06 July 2007

The Youth Services department has adopted a platoon from Fort Drum, New York. The Petroleum Platoon is from the 10th Mountain Division, 10th Brigade Support Battalion. In preparation for an expected 15-month deployment to Iraq on September 5th, Red Cross Youth were invited to join in the festivities of their family day picnic. Youth met and mingled with the soldiers and families that the Red Cross will be supporting during their time overseas.

The Red Cross will be collecting supplies prior to and during soldiers' deployment, including personal hygiene products, magazines, books, DVDs, videogames (Playstation and X-Box), puzzles, international phone cards, stationary, zip-lock bags and other essentias. If you'd like to help out in this important initiative, please contact us.

Thank you, Fort Drum 10th Mountain Division, for your dedicated service!
