Youth Clubs (Downloadable Documents)
Red Cross Clubs are school-sponsored student groups that meet throughout the year to partipate in community and international service learning projects. A downloadable calendar is available below that provides a sample outline for a club (Note: the calendar provided is targeted to elementary school students). There are also three age-specific handbooks that explain in detail the role of a Red Cross Club.

Education and Training for Preschool, Kindergarten, and Elementary Students
The courses listed below are a few examples of training programs available both to you and to your students. Because class schedules are always changing, we encourage you to contact us for the most up to date list of course offerings.
F.A.C.T. (First Aid for Children Today)
The F.A.C.T. family critter clan, including a pig, a beaver and a dolphin, help children learn how to respond to emergencies. Designed for five- to eight-year-olds, F.A.C.T. lessons also include healthy living habits, injury prevention, and road safety.
Basic Aid Training (B.A.T.)
Eight to twelve-year-olds use puzzles, word searches, mazes, and other games to learn how to prevent and respond to emergencies. Fires, burns, choking, drowning, and falls are among the emergencies covered.
Act SMART
A fun and creative way to educate people ages 6 to 17 about the serious subject of HIV. The curriculum, composed of three age-appropriate units, includes skits, games, art projects, discussion topics, and other interactive activities.
Community Water Safety
Teaches easy-to-remember safety tips for pools, water parks, lakes, rivers, oceans, and many other aquatic environments. Available in English and Spanish.
Learn to Swim
From basic water exploration to stroke development and then proficiency, Learn-to-Swim helps people of all ages and abilities develop and refine their swimming skills.
Courses for Parents, Teachers, and Youth Services Organizations
Throughout the year, the American Red Cross provides certification in the areas of disaster services, international services, biomedical services, mental health, and more.
Teaching the Geneva Conventions and International Humanitarian Law

Disaster Services
Disaster Services training will prepare adults and youth to lend a helping hand when a disaster strikes. Training centers on planning, preparedness, and response.
International Services
International Services training will provide participants with the skills to help and assist in all areas of social services, including international humanitarian law.
Biomedical Services
Biomedical Services provides training in the American Red Cross blood program. Participants will learn how to support Red Cross blood drives by recruiting donors, assisting with blood drive operations, and providing publicity.
